Every move had been such a nightmare in the past so we spent some time looking for a moving company that had good... reviews and a solid website that provided a lot of information. When we found Boomerang Moving, we liked the fact they required a small deposit to assure the commitment from both parties. We mentioned that we have allergies so we were going to purchase new moving blankets. And they responded that they have new blankets coming in so they were going to reserve some for us as well. They came out to our house within a few days to give us a quote. On the day before our moving day, we received a courtesy call confirming our move. The next day, the moving crew showed up right on the appointment time. They were very friendly, professional and careful. However, during the move a leg of an office desk got damaged. The furniture company we purchased the desk from suggested replacing the desk rather than trying to fix it. We asked Boomerang Moving if we could use their insurance to cover some of the cost. To be honest, because of experiences we had had in the past with moving companies, we did not expect them to cover any of the cost but Scott, the owner of Boomerang Moving, was very responsive and courteous and replaced the desk within TWO DAYS! We were so happy with this high level of customer service we decided to contribute some money to the cost of the replacement desk. All my furniture and items were handled with care.Cons: They went over the quoted amount by 20%. They left a lot of my belongings at my previous address which I now have to rent a uhaul to move myself which defeats the purpose of hiring movers.read more
They helped us move from our third floor apartment to the first floor and it was effortless really. The rates are... totally affordable, and it's worth requesting a quote.
